- Parasha Highlights:
- The great flood
- The tower of Babel
- Yahs unconditional covenant with Noach (the rainbow)
- The 153 verses of Parashot Noach (Genesis 6:9–11:32) speak of a cataclysmic flood upon a sinful world and the salvation of humanity. As such, they serve as a prototype of the chelvei Mashiach, the birth pangs of Messiah. While many scholars regard the Flood story as a mere myth, there are over 500 stories in ancient mythologies with remarkably significant parallels. From the most famous Epic of Gilgamesh to lesser-known accounts of Eridu Genesis and the Greek story of Deucalion. (Ladder of Jacob Ben Burton)
- 153 is the triangle of 17, the day of resurrection. 153 is also the number of fish caught in the disciples net. FYI 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10+11+12+13+14+15+16+17 = 153. An interesting point considering this Parasha speaks to symbolic death, burial and resurrection.
- Recall the first letter of the Hebrew Scriptures is the Bet. The Bet is a picture of a floor plan and means house, tent or family. The numerical value of this letter is two which speaks to Yeshua, the Son of Yah. Yeshua is the bridegroom who will seek a bride of like spiritual purity.
- The selection of this bride began in Ge. 2:7 with the man formed from the dust of the earth. His name is Adam because the Hebrew word for “from the earth” is adamah. There are ten generations from Adam is Noach.
- Ge. 6:8 – 10: “But Noach found favor in the eyes of YaHaVah. This is the genealogy of Noach. Noach was a righteous man, perfect in his generations. Noach brought forth three sons: Shem, Ham and Yepheth.” (ISR)
- The Hebrew word for “favor” is חֵן which is defined as favor, grace, or charm. In its ancient form this word would read: “Separated unto the heir.”
- Who will be ultimately separated unto the heir? His bride.
- The numerical value of ḥēn is 58; 5 + 8 = 13. Thirteen is the number of the tribes of Israel.
- Originally twelve, minus the tribe of Levi = eleven, plus Jacobs adopted grandsons, Ephraim and Manasseh = thirteen.
- The Hebrew word for righteous is “tzadeq,” צַדִּיק, which is defined as just, lawful and righteous. In its ancient form this word would read: “All believers need to enter through the door towards Him who throws seed and encourages us to turn our head away from the world system.”
- The numerical value is 204; 2 + 4 = 6. The sixth letter of the Hebrew Aleph Bet is the Vav which means to add or secure. The Vav is what connects earth to heaven. It is a picture of Yeshua, the door, the one who throws seed and when we focus on Him, He keeps us away from engaging in the world. The Vav acts like Yeshua i.e. a mediator.
- The Hebrew word for “perfect,” is תָּמִים and is defined as sound, wholesome, unimpaired, innocent, having integrity and is spiritually clean. In its ancient form this word would read: “Those who have entered into His covenant are sheltered from chaos, they work toward the Mighty One of Israel.”
- The numerical value is 490; 4 + 9 = 13.
- The Hebrew word for “Shem,” is שֵׁם. In its ancient form this word would read; “The divine presence will bring us out of the worlds chaos.” One of the single most significant issues with the man Shem is he is an ancestor of Yeshua.
- The eight souls chosen by The Father to enter into the ark represent the bridal selection. The number eight represents both new beginnings and covenant. Keep in mind that all other people would perish in the great flood.
- In my opinion all covenant believers should follow the mandate given to Adam, i.e. to guard and keep the tree of life and to exhibit the same behavior as Noach. They would become a bride without spot or wrinkle.
- What this means to us is that there will only be a “remnant” of people who are walking like Noach walked.
- Noach “walked” with Elohim. The Hebrew word for walk is halach (הָלַךְ ). Aside from the obvious definition of “walk,” this particular “walk” means that Noach was in a covenant relationship with YaHaVah. He was demonstrating his fidelity or faithfulness to our creator. The numerical value of halach is 55; 5 + 5 = 10, the 10 Words though the 10 Words will not be written in stone for some time. Noach had been taught how to “walk” with YaHaVah by his ancestors, those who were priests after the order of Melchizedek.
- The third letter of the Aleph Bet, the Gimel which actually means to lift up, walk or carry. We can easily see how our “walk” is the outward expression of loving Yeshua, the One who was resurrected on the third day, the One who was lifted up for all mankind.
- Ge. 8:1 – 4: “And Elohim remembered Noach, and all the beasts and all the cattle that were with him in the ark. And Elohim made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided. And the fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were stopped, and the rain from the heavens was withheld. And the waters receded steadily from the earth, and at the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters diminished. And in the seventh new moon, the seventeenth day of the new moon, the ark rested on the mountains of Ararat.”
- The seventh new moon is Yom Teruah, possibly when Yeshua makes His bridal selection. The seventeenth day is His day of resurrection. We will rest with Him during the seventh millennia, the Shabbat rest. Finally, the word “Ararat” is defined as the reversal of a curse.
- Ge 8:6 – 11: “So it came to pass, at the end of forty days, that Noach opened the window of the ark which he had made. Then he sent out a raven, which kept going to and fro until the waters had dried up from the earth. He also sent out from himself a dove, to see if the waters had receded from the face of the ground. But the dove found no resting place for the sole of her foot, and she returned into the ark to him, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth. So he put out his hand and took her, and drew her into the ark to himself. And he waited yet another seven days, and again he sent the dove out from the ark. Then the dove came to him in the evening, and behold, a freshly plucked olive leaf was in her mouth; and Noach knew that the waters had receded from the earth.”
- The Hebrew word for “dove” is יוֹנָה, yona. The dove has a unique divine mandate. Isa. 11:1 – 2: “There shall come forth a rod from the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of YaHaVah shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of YaHaVah.”
- Mt. 3:16: “When He had been baptized, Yeshua came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of Yah descending like a dove and resting upon Him.” Also recorded in Mk. 1:10, Lk. 3:22 and Jn. 1:32.
- In her mouth was an olive branch. The olive branch came from an olive tree. The olive tree is Israel.
- Rom. 11:17 – 18: “Israel’s people are like an olive tree that a farmer has planted. But Yah has broken off some of that tree’s branches. Then he has taken a branch from a wild olive tree. He has put that wild branch into the farmer’s tree, to become part of that tree. You Gentiles are like the wild branch. Now you receive food from the root of the farmer’s tree, to make you strong. Israel’s people are like the branches that Yah broke off. But you must not think that you are better than those branches. Remember that you are still only a branch. You do not make the root strong. No, it is the root that holds you up and makes you strong.”
- Jer. 11:15 – 16: “What has My beloved (nation) to do in My house, Having done lewd deeds with many? And the holy flesh has passed from you. When you do evil, then you rejoice. YaHaVah called your name, Green Olive Tree, lovely and of good fruit. With the noise of a great tumult He has kindled fire on it, and its branches are broken.”
- The fruit of the olive tree kindles the oil lamps. It is the first pressing of olives that are uppermost in the tree, the top portion of the tree. This is the very best olive oil which brought light into Israel, i.e. the same oil that would light the Menorah. Deductive reasoning tells us that the dove bringing an olive branch back to Noach meant there would be “light in the world” after the flood waters abated completely.
- Incredibly, the gematria for “Light of the World” and “Mashiach” are the same.
- אור העולם = משיח = 358
- Ohr HaOlam = Mashiach = 358
- Light of the World = Messiah = 358

- V 5 – 9 “For your Maker is your husband, YaHaVah of hosts is His name; and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the Elohay of the whole earth. For YaHaVah has called you like a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, like a youthful wife when you were refused,” says your Elohay. For a mere moment I have forsaken you, but with great mercies I will gather you.”
- With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you, says YaHaVah, your Redeemer. For this is like the waters of Noach to Me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noach would no longer cover the earth, so have I sworn that I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.”

- Mt. 24:36 – 44: “But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noach were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noach entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
- Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for you know not what hour your Lord does come.”

- Acts 2:1 – 16: “They saw what looked like tongues of fire, which separated and came to “rest” on each one of them. They were filled with the Ruach Elohim and began to speak in different languages.” **It is the Ruach Elohim that enables us to walk like Noach walked.
- In conclusion, Parasha Noach is a messianic prophecy. The eight souls that would survive the great flood speak to the remnant covenant believers that would descend from Shem, Ham and Yepheth.
- The ark represented a place of shelter, not removal, from the calamity of creations reversal.
- The dove returning with an olive branch in her mouth speaks to Yeshua as the light of the worlds first advent as well as Israel, Yahs inheritance, being referred to as the “green olive tree.’
